Autism Spectrum Advocacy

Welcome to Autism Spectrum Advocacy, and thank you for visiting our web site. We hope visitors will find that the site provides them with tools to learn about our service offerings and capabilities, get to know our advocates, and access helpful resources & current news that impacts students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). At Autism Spectrum Advocacy, our mission is to help families work successfully with school districts to develop and successfully implement comprehensive, individualized educational programs for students with ASD through effective and respectful collaboration by families and educators. We work with families to strengthen their own advocacy skills by guiding them through the education planning process, and our goal is to enable families to take their rightful place as informed and equal members of their child’s Team.

I founded Autism Spectrum Advocacy in 2006 to provide comprehensive special education advocacy services to families of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (including students with diagnoses formerly known as Autism, Rett Syndrome, PDD-Pervasive Development Disorder, PDD-NOS, Asperger Syndrome, and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder). As the rate of diagnosis of ASD continues to increase and in order to better meet the diverse and individual needs of families and their children with ASD, Autism Spectrum Advocacy has become a group practice of seasoned, passionate and knowledgeable advocates who care deeply about helping such families and who are dedicated to focusing their professional advocacy services on assisting families of students with ASD.

With our diverse professional and hands-on backgrounds in education, Applied Behavior Analysis, conflict resolution and as parents of our own children with autism who have successfully navigated the special education process in Massachusetts; and through our mutual commitment to ongoing professional development & education, professional & personal integrity, and personalized client service, Autism Spectrum Advocacy offers our clients a unique group advocacy model which enables us to leverage our collective expertise gained through our experience, education, ongoing training and our strong network of relationships with knowledgeable professionals who assist families. In doing so, we are able to provide highly-personalized, comprehensive, compassionate advocacy services of the highest caliber to the families we serve by helping them obtain the education services and supports that are needed to help children with ASD succeed. It has been, and continues to be, our pleasure to partner with families and school districts throughout Massachusetts to ensure that students with Autism Spectrum Disorder receive the comprehensive and individualized education they are entitled to and deserve.
